Ya, About That…

Would it be weird to have a section of cool lawn gnomes in a toy/game store? It seems adjacent for some reason…I guess it’s just the fantasy aspect or maybe I just play too much D&D.

I used to go into this pipe shop by the theatre in the mall when I was a kid and look at all these Tom Clark gnome figures they had in there and was always absolutely fascinated by them. I dreamed of a place in my house as an adult that featured these beautiful, weird, slightly twisted clay renditions of these tiny mythical creatures. I went almost every time I was there, which was like, once a week, at least. Yes, that was in the 80s, when malls were cool and there were cigarette machines in restaurants and a kid could walk into a tobacco shop. Those were the days…

I was looking at a wholesale website and they had like, Star Trek gnomes and another one had gnome knights. It just seems like something odd that could be explored. Plus, my friend Jamie and I have a strange obsession with lawn gnomes after her dad put one in their back yard in our late 20s. It just seems to be a thing.
